I’m BEYOND excited about this winter season since I'm with my family for the holidays for the first time since 2014 - and C is here! I’ve been thinking lots about my winter bucket list... so let's dig right into this... Spending time with familyOne thing I missed while living in Australia was celebrating Christmas with my family. I’m really looking forward to these next few weeks, as they give everyone the same chance to slow down and spend more time together! I especially want to spend as much time as possible with my grandfather, since I don't know when I will see him next... and this may be our last holidays together. disney during the holidaysThis is gonna make me sound like a bad Floridian, but I can't seem to recall ever going to the parks during the holiday season. With C coming from Australia, I have already bought our tickets for the most magical time of the year! I can't wait to see Main Street all lit up in festive cheer. sharing and learning family recipesMy father has given C the sacred family cookbook. The red book has sat on our counter for years, opened for so many delicious recipes... it cracked my heart open to see two men I love so much share this special bond over food. I can't wait to teach him all about our culture through food! travelingSince basically being stranded in the USA, I have been sort of a hermit... not wanting to get COVID and all that jazz. I’m so excited to start exploring the state again - and showing it off to a loved one! Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota... it's gonna be fun. get back to exercising 3x a weekThis seems a bit self-explanatory! While I was able to pound out a 5k running on the treadmill, I pulled something in my left leg and I haven't been able to run for a bit. giving back to charityAt the end of the year, I like give back to causes I truly believe in. I haven't been able to donate as much these last few years as a graduate student... but this year I've put it in my budget! It makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside knowing I can bring a little cheer to charities worldwide during the holiday season. What do you have on YOUR list? Share your ideas below… I might have to steal some!Comments are closed.
